We make a lot of demands on the objects we bring into our lives, and we expect them to simply do their job. But Stockholm-based designer Tove Greitz, a recent grad of Beckmans College of Design, challenges all of that with her mirror series called Expectations.
"What happens when an experience does not match our expectations?" she questions, exploring how that makes us feel about the object and about ourselves. Furthermore, "can an object make demands on its user?"
Design as art, done well. I like it.
Tove's mirrors were featured in Beckmans College of Design May 2014 Graduation Show as her thesis project. They were then featured in the Design Student Selected section of the Formex Autumn/Winter 2014 market.
