Lisa Bengtsson is hot, hot hot. You met her here at From Sthlm back in May, and again as a Formex Formidable contender.
Well August was Lisa’s month! Not only were her pillows nominated for the Formex prize, but she was also chosen to design the fair’s Young Designers Lounge.

The “Lady Lisa Cafe” at this Fall’s Formex was all Lisa Bengtsson. A whole wall of her plates are pure eye candy, and her pillows carry the theme through the entire space. Below, a close up of her plate collage. I like what she’s done here mixing in vintage with her new ones.
Lisa’s theme was “A journey in the past”. She wanted it to feel as though you’d entered her world in another era, and yet make it contemporary as well. It should have a slightly magical, fun feel to it.
“I want the visitors to feel the urge to stay here for a moment and enjoy the atmosphere. It should be a place for discussing the latest gossip and bargains of the day, or sharing inspiration over a cup of tea or coffee,” said Lisa.
Watch an interview with Lisa discussing her Café, her new patterns, and design inspiration from Interior News.
And Formex wasn’t her only August coup. She also premiered a new line of products at Indiska!
Lisa designed the Peacock cup and Peacock plate for Indiska, along with a bowl, a pillow and more not pictured.
