Formex fun starts tomorrow

Yes it’s that time again – Formex, the twice-yearly industry market for Nordic design starts tomorrow! This time the theme is “happy” so I’m excited to see the curated theme-related display that the organizers have in store. It’s always impressive and puts you in just the right mood.

There are some exciting new launches to look forward to as well from some of our favorite designers.

List of the top things I’m looking forward to:

• » New product launches from favs Camilla Engdahl and Lotta Odelius for Sagaform (uhm hmmm… don’t miss Lotta’s designs in the store this month!
• » A whole slate of new talent showing in the “Young Designers” section. Previous discoveries have included our own Tina Backman, Fuldesign and Mrs. Murphy.
• » Meanwhile, our old favs are moving up! Fuldesign is in charge of the Young Designers lounge, and you just KNOW that’s going to be good!
• » And Mrs. Murphy will be a cornerstone in the brand new “Next Step” section. Wonder what other friends we’ll see there?
• » One person we’ll definitely check in with is the designer who kicked off From Sthlm a year and a half ago, Lotta Kühlhorn! She’ll be displaying her own range for the very first time, under her brand koloni stockholm. We can’t wait to see all of the wonderful new shapes and colors she’s been working on.
