Our friend Lisa Bengtsson does it again. As of next Tuesday, you’ll be able to get her vibrant “Sir Harald” and “Baronessa” patterns on chairs, benches and sofas.

She explains the stories behind these patterns here!

It’s really very clever actually. Bemz is a Swedish company that works with designers to make changeable fabric covers for standard IKEA furniture.

You get the distinctive custom look without the huge price of designer furniture. It’s easy to change if you want a new look, and your old sofa doesn’t end up out on the sidewalk. Other designer patterns Benz carries are those of Marimekko and Stig Lindberg among others.

The Lisa Bengtsson covers will become available on February 9th. So this weekend, head to IKEA. Then click over to Bemz.com where you can even get prices in USD and international shipping.
