What’s this I hear? Our Children’s Gorilla closing shop? The Stockholm design duo who have been bringing playful urban cool to the young and young at heart since 2002? Say it’s not so!

Our Children’s Gorilla founders Christopher Robin and Jennie E. Pitt met over 10 years ago in art school. It seems they’ve had a good system all these years. They told Elle Interiör earlier how their partnership works.

According to Jennie, Christopher can sit for hours drawing characters, and only decide afterward what to do with them. He’ll have one idea in mind, like the time he made a sketch of a boat with the intention of designing it to be pulled along by a rope. It was Jennie’s idea to turn it into a wall hook instead.

But now, according to Trendgruppen, it seems Our Childrens Gorilla is coming to an end. Apparently they’ll be focusing their efforts on designing for other companies. We’ll just have to wait to see what that means and what we can expect from these two talented designers next.

In the meantime, they’ve been selling off all of their remaining stock and studio props. You’ll find some remaining items through their website, but probably not for long.
