Stockholm Design Week was a whirlwind of activity. And with the Stockholm Furniture Fair going on at the same time, it meant busy days and busy nights. With all of Sweden’s top designers gathered in Stockholm, it was the perfect time to see the freshest in Swedish design and meet all of the creative people behind it.
Here were some of the highlights of our week…
Design House Stockholm & Elle Interiör Party

The Elle Interiör Design Prize winners were announced. Next they’ll compete for the Elle Deco International Design Awards to be announced in Milan in April.

And the winners are: Annica & Marie Eklund, Lisa Bengtsson, Måns Broman, Ilse Crawford, Michael Bihain, Ulrika Elovsson, Hanna Werning, Kvänum, Pia Törnell, Margot Barolo & Ulrika Mårtensson, and Björn Dahlström.
For more on their winning designs, see the Designpriset video on the Elle Interiör website.

At the same time, Design House Stockholm announced 10 new product lines. One of my favorites is Jonas Hakaniemi’s Box Light- a lamp that is adjusted by the touch of a hand.

Attendees check out the newest releases from Design House Stockholm. That’s me with champagne in hand.
DesignTorget’s Product of the Year Award Party

Good crowd and lots of great products nominated at Designtorget. A watering can from Pascal Charmolu at Born in Sweden, Mårten Lindquist’s bubble notice board, Barbro Tryberg Boberg’s & Kristina Stark’s tray and holder… Sara Ringström won the People’s Favorite award with her mustache necklace.

And taking top prize of the night for their “apple hook” were my friends Åsa-Karin Karlén and Anna Ella Ahnlund, who I caught up with later at their studio.
