Anita’s Lapland bracelets are made the same way they’ve been made by the Nordic region’s indigenous Sami people for hundreds of years, out of soft reindeer leather, nickel-free pewter thread (including 4% silver), and a button made of naturally shed reindeer antler.
Each bracelet takes Anita 3-10 hours to make.
Today she runs her company, Grönstedt Designs, out of a sunny studio in Boulder, Colorado; but her jewelry keeps her close to her roots.
She was born and raised in the far north of Sweden just an hour from the Arctic Circle, where many Sami people still herd reindeer for a living.
