Bantie
Bantie believes that fashionable should also be personal… that simple and sophisticated spaces alike should also be fun… and that contemporary works best when it casts a fond glance back towards the past.
That’s what Ulrika Gyllstad and Wilhelmina Wiese set out to do when they started making textile patterns together in 2007.
Ulrika designs while Wilhelmina takes care of business, maintaining highest quality standards by having the fabrics printed in small runs at the same Swedish company that was printing Stig Lindberg patterns in 1954.
Their company, Bantie, currently has nine patterns in more than 25 different color combinations. They sell fabrics by the meter, but also offer a large collection of cushions, tablecloths, placemats, bags, trays and even wallpaper!
Inspiration for our February featured selection ranges from fantasy birds, to intricate patterns found in coral, to a Japanese tea party.
And they work well together… if you look closely at the Kokeshi pattern, you are bound to see some familiar shapes from the other patterns making cameos.
Unique, stylish textiles for your home… as Bantie would say, with “Love from Sweden”.
