Bengt & Lotta
One look at the work of Bengt Lindberg and Lotta Glave, and you can see the joy that was put into every design bursting through.
Lotta and Bengt came together in work and life after attending Sweden’s National College of Arts, Craft & Design. They shared a creative vision that was both playful and graphic, and their company Bengt & Lotta was born.
Today Bengt and Lotta are well-known designers and illustrators whose decorative pieces have become mainstays in homes across Sweden and the world.
The family-run Swedish textile brand Klippan Yllefabrik brings the couple’s textiles to life in all natural materials, meeting highest quality standards.
For Bengt and Lotta, design is very personal and rooted in heritage.
“Finding new ways to present traditional designs is important to me,” says Bengt, who finds inspiration in Swedish folk art.
Lotta’s inspiration is more elemental.
“I want my objects to express humor and happiness. I want them to feel unique and different.”
Judging from their “Candy”, “Flower Power”, and “Bird” patterns featured this month, they’re succeeding.
