With designs celebrating nature and Swedish craftsmanship, there’s no better time for HAPPYsthlm’s collection than right now, with Spring in full bloom! Even their name is enough to make you happy.

Katarina Anderson, Kajsa Aronsson, and Caroline Lindholm each bring a long history in design to the trio. Together they develop shapes and themes that can be translated into a range of different items – from jewelry to tea towels, and everything in between.

Each designer has a different area of expertise. Kajsa creates textiles, Caroline works with silver and metals, and Katarina finds elegant shapes in ceramics and glass. Together they create a beautiful and complementary collection that feels right at home in your home.

This month’s featured designs embody just what makes HAPPYsthlm so unique. All three designers are represented in a cohesive collection that casts an eye on quality craftsmanship and their close collaboration with small manufacturers.

The Maito vase is made of hand-blown glass at Skruf, one of Sweden’s finest glassworks that has been producing all handmade pieces for over a century. It’s shape is inspired by the milk bottles of Katarina’s childhood in Finland.

The Park pattern tea towel (as the name implies) was inspired by urban environments for growing, with a bit of traditional Swedish folk art thrown in.

Some of the leaf shapes from the Park pattern pop up again in the cast iron Blad trivet. It works beautifully on its own, or linked with others into a vine.

“Hamla” means pruning branches in Swedish. Instead of a traditional mug handle, the Hamla mug uses the pared down form of a branch. The result is distinctive in its simplicity and comfortable to hold with the “twig” between your fingers.
